Privacy Policy

Plain English about what this website collects, why, and how we look after it. This policy covers the FactoryGrids marketing site and its sales contact form.

Who we are

FactoryGrids is a native macOS operations platform for product-based businesses, and a product of Atlas Product Group. In this policy, "FactoryGrids", "we", "us", and "our" refer to Atlas Product Group operating the FactoryGrids brand.

This policy explains how we handle information when you visit this marketing website and when you send us a message through the sales contact form. It does not cover the FactoryGrids application itself, which runs on your own Macs and stores your operational data on your own systems. See the product note below for more on that distinction.

Information we collect

We keep data collection on this website to a minimum. There are no accounts to create and no payments taken on the site. We collect two kinds of information:

Information you give us through the contact form

When you fill in our sales contact form, you choose what to share. The form may include:

  • Name, so we know who we are talking to.
  • Work email, so we can reply to you.
  • Company and role, which are optional and help us understand your context.
  • Team or shop size, so we can tailor what we show you.
  • Use case (what you build or want to solve), which helps us prepare for the conversation.
  • Message, where you can tell us anything else in your own words.

Only your name and a valid work email are required. Everything else is optional.

Technical and analytics data

Like most websites, our hosting and delivery layer records basic technical and log information when pages load, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We may also look at aggregate, non-identifying analytics to understand which pages are useful and how the site performs. We use this to keep the site secure, reliable, and well organized, not to build a profile of you.

How we use your information

We use the information above to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and answer your questions about FactoryGrids.
  • Contact you about FactoryGrids, including arranging a walkthrough, following up on your message, and putting together a quote you have asked for.
  • Improve the website, using aggregate analytics to make it clearer and faster.
  • Keep the site secure and protect against abuse, spam, and fraud.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for unrelated advertising.

Service providers we rely on

We use a small number of trusted providers (sometimes called processors) to run this website. They handle data on our behalf and under our instructions:

  • Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website, and provides security and performance for it. In serving pages, Cloudflare processes standard technical and log data such as IP addresses.
  • Web3Forms processes submissions from our contact form. When you submit the form, your details are transmitted through Web3Forms so the message can reach our sales inbox.

In short: when you press submit, your message travels through Web3Forms to land in our inbox, and the pages you view are served through Cloudflare. We share your information with these providers only so they can perform these functions for us.

An important note about the product

This is worth being clear about, because it is unusual in a good way. The FactoryGrids application is not this website, and it does not send your operational data to us.

  • The app stores your operational data on your own shared local and NAS based system, with database sync, backups, and recovery tools that run on hardware you control. There is no required vendor cloud holding that data.
  • The app connects to third party sales platforms (Amazon, Etsy, and Shopify, plus more) using your own credentials, and only to read your sales.

Because of that design, this website privacy policy is mainly about the contact form and site analytics described above. It is not about the operational data inside the application. If you have questions about how the application handles data, talk to our team and we will walk you through it.

Cookies and tracking

We keep this light and honest. We do not run invasive advertising trackers, and we do not sell tracking data. Any cookies or similar technologies we use are limited to what keeps the site working and what gives us basic, aggregate analytics about how the site is performing. Most browsers let you block or clear cookies in their settings, and the site will still work without them.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form submissions for as long as we need them to respond to you and to manage our relationship, and then for a reasonable period afterward for our records, before deleting them. Technical and aggregate analytics data is kept only as long as it is useful for security and for understanding site performance. If you ask us to delete your enquiry, we will, unless we are required to keep it for legal reasons.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Access the information we hold about you from the contact form.
  • Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
  • Delete your enquiry and the details you sent us.

To exercise any of these, email us at privacy@factorygrids.com and we will take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local privacy laws; we will honor those that apply to you.

Third party links

This site links to other places, such as Atlas Product Group. Once you follow a link to another site, this policy no longer applies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not operate, so please review their policies.

Children

This is a business to business website and it is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as the website or our practices change. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here, so it is worth checking back.
